Follow Steps Below for Sample Submission
Collecting Samples
- 1. Preferably more than 10-12 leaves still attached to branches.
- 2. Place collected samples in a zip-lock bag or plastic bag and secure tightly.

- 3. Identify the sample: label the bag clearly and provide sampling date.
- 4. Treat each submitted sample separately. Label bags clearly so that samples can be differentiated.

Fill out the appropriate form(s) as completely as possible.

- 2. Place completed form(s) in a zip-lock bag or plastic bag and secure tightly.

- 3. Place all samples and form(s) into one (1) zip-lock or plastic bag and secure. Make sure basic information portion of the form is easily visible.

Submission Package
- 1. Place the submission package [sample bags and form(s) in one bag] into a crush-proof box.

- 2. Close and secure box with packaging tape. Clearly label on box “CITRUS GREENING SAMPLES” Mail box [recommend overnight and/or courier service] to diagnostic clinic.

- 3. Additional Tips:
- Send sample via overnight service and early in the week to allow diagnostic clinics to start processing sample securely (prevents sitting is a hot truck over the weekend).
- Check/call diagnostic clinic (phone or website) to assess availability of diagnostic services.
- Check/call diagnostic clinic to confirm their receipt of the submitted samples.
